i think ff10 and X-2 have the thickest - ive got a bit of a colllection going lol. has harly any of the secrets in it and isnt very well laid, out alot thinner than ff8s guide too. I recently bought the ff9 guide and that is terribly dissapointing. The official guide i think misses things out, i cant remember what exactly but i know there is some particular stuff when i go through it that just isnt in there or isnt indepth. but ive tried to put the other GFs in better combinations this time so commands are better spaced so like ive given selphie diablos this time and carbuncle to irvine etc.
i always put shiva on selphie, ifrit on squall and quez on irvine. I read they work quicker or something but i suppose that doesnt really matter later on when they level up anyway. The magazine you will find in the balamb garden library its the first bookcase on your right as you come in, just keep examining the book case and you will find it Ok to get the magazine that gives you a clue about it. So since you say that GF's can work together due to compatitbility maybe its worth putting those 2 together and see what happpens? seeing as they are quite alike. You will also need some steel pipes and thats all i can remeber sorry! but then when you have all required items you select the ring and press X in your item screen and you aquire it. I dont think that doomtrain has anything to do with the card queens (unless they have cards that can be turned into a needed item) but from what i can remember you need the Solomons ring from that Lunatic pandora temple place, all i can remeber is the colour orange an a big buddha statue in the middle of the place.Thats where you can get it. I had doomtrain once ages ago, its not a bad GF, i think its a lot like the GF Siren, it hurts the enemy and gives the enemy a status abnormality an i mean a big one lol it does sleep silence blind etc all of them! :lol: Its kinda hard for me cos i dont have an in depth guide grrrr The weird thing is every time i start a new FF8 file i think that this time i should let other people have different GF's this time but i end up putting the GF's to same people as last time lol i guess this is just the way i prefer it lol Oh wow i didnt know that when you put GF's together that dont oppose each other you get better results lol hmm may have to try that lol what kind of results do you get exactly?

id like to find a way to refine full lifes or regens, some higher cure magic earlier on though, just dont know how, im blind without my trusty guide! lol Oh and yeah i always try and get my life up with HP+ first but i never thought about buying the tents thanks, ive just been refining those wizard stones or whichever one does curagas. but then im not sure my guide is that accurate because i wanted the irvine cards from flo in FH and it just says to get it from her, then i read on the net that its part of the queen of cards thing, i dunno eh. Ive never managedf to get GF Doomtrain because i can never get that magazine that my guide said was in esthar near that place where you first take rinoa to see doctor odine, down the corridor where two guards are guarding the door. mind you in my stratergy guide they put ifrit and shiva together i think so maybe thats not how it works. Hey you, its interesting that you put quez and brothers together i would have thought they would have worked against each other, i read on the internet they work better if you contrast them. I hope this helps you cos now my fingers hurt :lol: I suggest you make your GF's learn skills like strength + 40 or HP-J ability or learn anything that you think might be relevent (basically things that will make a big difference to a players stats. Its also quite handy to draw spells from enemies and maximising the spells to there 100 limit so you can juntion them and higher your stats. When that has been learnt buy 10 TENTS and use the tool to turn them into 100 curagas and juntion them to a players HP slot if they have the GF Ifrit (he should have the HP juntion slot available) and ta daa he/she has a ton of health.Īlso its a good idea to stop and train your characters every now and then.
When GF Siren is accuired get it to learn the tool creat status/recovery magic from an item. One little trick i did for Zell (or any character) to have about 2500 hp quite early in the game is to: These are the only ones i have so far and this is the usual thing that i do to all the players.Īnd i just swap them to another player when i switch charcters so all GF's get experience constantly and everyone's compatibility with them becomes more responsive
